Exterior Paint
To achieve a stunning exterior paint job, quality materials are just the beginning. Thorough preparation is key. We start by cleaning all surfaces to eliminate dirt, mold, and any peeling paint. For best results, we prime exposed raw wood with Kilz oil-based primer, applying it carefully with a brush to ensure every crack is thoroughly covered. When dealing with rusted metal, we sand it down first, then apply a rust primer before the final coat. To prevent water infiltration, we seal all potential cracks with elastomeric caulk. Unless you have a specific request, we always use the best available caulk and paint.
Interior Painting Projects
We handle all items in your home as if they were our own. Every surface or item at risk of paint drips is covered or masked off. All furniture is covered with plastic to minimize dust. All cracks and nail holes are caulked and filled as needed. Walls are sanded to take out noticeable nail and screw pops and nail hole patches. We prime drywall or wallpaper residue where needed to achieve a uniform finish. Glossy trim is sanded and cleaned so the new paint adheres well, and cracking caulk on trim edges is cut out and replaced with elastomeric caulk.

My story begins over 40 years ago when I was a teenager in high school. My first house painting experience was the summer job I had in 1977. As a 17-year-old, I told myself I would never paint again. Eventually, circumstances led me back to painting, and I began painting for a living more than 20 years ago. You must be careful what you say, right?
After working for several painting companies and seeing the entire process, I discovered that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed taking something that looked bad or average and changing it to something outstanding. Seeing the look on the customers' faces when they see the finished transformation makes it worth the effort.
Meet Our Crew Leader
Nechivan, or "Nechi," started working with Nashville House Painters 7 years ago. After learning more about the craft of painting, he decided to work independently on his own. Over 6 years on his own, Nechi learned more about the skill of painting than most painters learn in 20 years.
He has managed and painted large projects like Crossland Lumber Supply and the Hermitage Hotel, as well as small interior bedroom projects. His attention to detail is exceptional, and he is always looking for ways to better serve the customer.
We are really glad to have him on our team.

It reflects a selfless, courageous leader who stands firm in adversity and leads by example. Character isn't separate from what we do. It's the discipline and conviction to do what's right, no matter the cost. It can be hard to define but becomes the core of who we are. We can't separate our character from what we do and how we do it.
Gratitude
In the summer of 1978, I was riding in the back of a truck that collided with another vehicle. While traveling at 50 miles per hour, I was thrown out of the truck bed onto the pavement. I shouldn't even be here. I don't think it was just luck that brought me through that event without even a scratch. Because of that experience, and my life in general, I'm grateful for every day I have. Each one is a gift from God. (For in Him we live and move and have our being) Acts 17:28.
So, to bring it back to gratitude, we do not take any customer for granted. We understand that when you invite us in your home, you are entrusting us with not only your hard-earned money but the safety and well-being of your family. For this, we are grateful.
